Baietz Barrez Lehertu!

The main Basque autonomous television channel, Euskal Telebista, broadcast this humour and entertainment programme, whose title meant “¡A que te partes de risa!” in 1995. Presented by José Felipe Auzmendi and Yolanda Alzola, this show in Basque included sequences taken by a hidden camera, jokes and television ads, as well as other surprises. Baietz Barrez Lehertu! Very soon became the most successful entertainment programme on ETB 1, broadcast in prime time on Thursday nights, and served to strengthen the presence of Gestmusic production on Basque television, on both the Spanish-speaking channel (ETB 2) and the Basque one (ETB 1). It was also a programme packed with anecdotes and generosity. One of the contestants had the kindness to share the prize with the fellow contestants who had won nothing: a lesson in sensitivity.
