Fiebre del domingo noche
In the summer of 1999, Telecinco and Gestmusic created a programme dedicated to the obvious boom in the 70s and 80s that occurred in this country. More and more dance halls filled up their venues by playing hits from 20, 25 or 30 years ago and nowdisappeared pop groups, such as Abba, becoming top of the pops once again. Against such a passion for retro arose this musical quiz for Sunday evenings presented by four different, but complimentary, personalities: Alfonso Aibar, Carlos Tena, Juan Y Medio and Carolina Ferré. Moreover, each week saw the appearance on stage of El Chaval de la peca, who revived the most well known tunes of the last three decades and the comedy duo called Ques-quis-pas.
The programme, lasting an hour and a half, provided not only a musical review of the seventies, but also included the cinema, fashion, publicity and politics of the period, with a touch of sarcastic and easy-going humour, leaving aside the nostalgic content. Musical performances, interviews with idols of the 70s and 80s and videos of our most recent history completed the show.
