¡MIRA QUIÉN BAILA!
A group of celebrities takes part in a ballroom dancing programme for charitable and humanitarian causes. Throughout the week, each participant rehearses and prepares two choreographed performances with the help of one of the programme’s choreographers and a professional dancer, who acts as his / her partner in the weekly show. The rehearsals are filmed and broadcast before the show performance. A judges’ panel, made up of experts from the dance world and show biz celebrities, evaluates each dance couple. Those that make it past the first selection move on to give a second performance, which is judged by the audience. The overall winner of each show receives a cash prize that he/she will give to his/her chosen NGO or charitable cause. In a second show phase, the audience begins to eliminate the least voted participants, until the overall winner of the series is announced in a grand finale, receiving a large prize, which he/she will present to the charitable organization that he/she is working with.
In addition to the regular thirteen-programme series, special series have been aired for the holidays, such as MIRA QUIÉN BAILA for CHRISTMAS, for NEW YEAR’S and for the EPIPHANY. This is the same format in a shorter series, with specially selected music for these holidays.
The very same ingredients of popular celebrities, music and charity were also combined to create the daring show, MIRA QUIÉN BAILA SOBRE HIELO (LOOK WHO’S DANCING ON ICE), where the celebrities offered a nice dose of bravery and gave choreographed skating performances over a large ice rink that was installed on the set.
