Tardes con Ana

For four seasons, ‘Tardes con Ana’ was the afternoon magazine, lasting over two hours, that Gestmusic produced for Televisión de Galicia. The foundation of the show was the space dedicated to the talk show, which every day focused on a specific topic, developing it through guests involved in the subject directly or through their personal experiences or professional involvement. The popular Galician singer Ana Kiro was the presenter of the programme and in which, as well as leading it, sang some songs accompanied by the studio orchestra.

‘Tardes con Ana’ was not just a talk show, since it had an orchestra that performed live, a quiz, spaces given over to the latest current affairs, the lives of the famous, interviews with popular figures, consultations of all kinds, the discovery of young talent and a comedy section.

All of this fulfilled the main aim of the programme: to entertain while at the same to inform about very diverse topics and to provide the opinion of the studio audience and the viewers at home by phone. The majority of the subjects covered concerned the Galician community, coinciding with the fact that the most watched shows were the ones dealing with social questions. This is shown by the viewing figures where the highest ratings were for the programmes given over to, among other themes, faith healing, gossip magazines, life’s surprises, new talents, relationships and the family.
