Taxi 10

The actor and scriptwriter Kike Díaz and Oihana Etxeberria were in charge of leading the space from the second channel of ETB, ‘Taxi 10’, which began broadcasting in October 1997. This pair was able to put together a series of hidden camera sketches, home videos and the challenge of playing practical jokes on the public in order to combine universal humour with local humour. The programme, shown on Sunday evenings, lasted an hour and a half and was a sequel to the comedy show in Basque Baietz Barrez Lehertu (“¡A que te partes de risa!”).

There were regular weekly sections such as the groups, which were jokes told by members of different professions in a veritable battle of jokes; international hidden camera slots and those filmed in a taxi –the star section of the programme where any member of the public might be the subject of the “innocent” driver’s dirty tricks– the always amusing home videos; joke battle, dedicated jokes, jigsaw jokes, musical numbers and a quiz.
