The production of the show Una hora amb Vittorio Gassman was a unique experience that TV3 committed itself to in the autumn of 1995. The well-known actress Rosa Maria Sardà led and presented the show in her own style and was partly based on Lenny Bruce’s North American show, the character played by Dustin Hoffman in the film.

With the excuse of waiting for the Italian actor Vittorio Gassman to arrive, Rosa Maria Sardà took on several roles, interviewed famous personalities, recited monologues, chatted with the audience and connected up with different parts of Catalonia.
This was all undertaken in an atmosphere full of the actress’s own stand-up routine, theatre and a great deal of humour. The set was created by the artist Perejaume and he gave it a very pleasant appearance of light and shade that enhanced the scripts played by Sardà, that may have been original works of Shakespeare, Pessoa, Dalí or Maria Aurèlia Capmany, amongst others.
The programme had some exceptional scriptwriters such as Ignacio Martínez de Pisón, Martín Casariego, David Trueba, Pedro Ugarte, Suso de Toro, Máximo Fernández, Joan Sellent and Ferran Toutain.
